LinkedIn recently announced several tools that allow you to specifically target members with advertisements. The tools allow you to target LinkedIn members based on industry, length of time at the place of employment, job description, company size and location. While these tools aren’t available to smaller advertisers at the moment, they should be available soon.
LInkedIn ads have the capability to reach a higher-level audience than most other advertisements. While Facebook and Google allow you to reach hundreds of thousands of prospects at once, LinkedIn’s advantage lies in the ability to target small groups of decision makers in an organization. The best part of these tool is that they’ll allow an even more micro-level of control for your advertisements. For example, say that you wanted to only target marketing communication managers of companies 1,000 and up. Now you can, without even having to know their names or finding their Facebook profiles.
