Katelyn grew up on the eastern plains of Colorado (go Beetdiggers!—yes, that’s her high school mascot) and attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado where she majored in Technical Journalism and Communications with an emphasis on Public Relations. She got her first opportunity to work in marketing with a company that manufactures custom fire trucks for departments worldwide and discovered that connecting with audiences through storytelling and design was her passion. She is a strong advocate for local businesses and is willing to go above and beyond to help them reach their goals. She has a great history of working in marketing and storytelling for businesses in the health and wellness field, recruiting, hospitality, and manufacturing.

In her free time, you can find Katelyn sipping on a glass of wine, taking her overly excited Australian Shepherd out for a very long walk, paddle boarding on Horestooth Reservoir, finding her next camping spot, going to a show at a local comedy club, or enjoying time with family.

As the Head of Marketing at Encompass Technologies, I considered Old Town Media an extension of our marketing team. OTM worked closely with us on rebranding and repositioning, multiple industry-first product launches, key industry events, and integrated demand generation campaigns while we grew our marketing team and acquired new companies. With the help of OTM, we grew our pipeline and bested industry benchmarks for Software as a Service (SaaS) sales and marketing efficiency metrics.
